TOURISTAPP — PIKE COUNTY COMMUNITY DEMO

Purpose: invite local feedback on an independent beta, not propose an official tourism partnership or promise increased visitor spending.

A 10-minute conversation
1. Introduce the idea behind TouristApp: discover the interesting places we normally drive past.
2. Open the app while parked in a public location in Waverly or Piketon. Allow location access and select a nearby search radius.
3. Compare parks/nature categories with museums/historic categories. Ask participants what they recognize and what appears to be missing.
4. Preview a Sunday drive and explain category priorities. Check the proposed stops before starting. Drive-by classification is category-based, not a guarantee of roadside access.
5. Show a place's source information. Ask local experts to flag inaccurate descriptions or outdated visitor details.
6. Share the TestFlight link and invite feedback after an outing.

Possible local testing themes—not prebuilt or verified itineraries
• Parks and nature: Pike Lake State Park, Lake White State Park, and Pike State Forest.
• Local history: the Waverly Canal Historic District and the mounds in Piketon.
• Everyday discovery: compare what the app finds near familiar public locations with what local residents recommend.

Use official visitor resources to check destination information and access. Do not assume each suggested destination has a complete in-app listing. TouristApp is not a restaurant, lodging, or event directory.

A modest first step for community groups
Invite a small group of iPhone-owning residents, tourism volunteers, and history enthusiasts to test one outing. Gather feedback on missing places, incorrect descriptions, confusing controls, and route practicality. No sponsorship, paid placement, business listing program, or organizational endorsement is required to participate.
